iPhone / HEIC help, or not enough photos?

If a HEIC photo cannot open here, on a Mac open it in Photos or Preview and export a JPEG. On iPhone, you can open the photo full-screen, take a screenshot and crop away the screen controls without cutting off your pet. Check that their face and markings are still clear before adding the copy.

For future iPhone camera photos: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible saves new photos as JPEG; it does not change existing photos. Apple’s format guide (opens a new tab)
